Education & Skilling

Focused on training and certifying youth, enhancing employability, promoting entrepreneurship, and collaborating with industries and partners to strengthen Maharashtra’s skill ecosystem.

3.1. Radhabai Bahekar Nursing School (RANM & RGNM),

SGGVSS established Radhabai Bahekar Nursing School in 2008-09 with permission from the Government of Maharashtra to offer Auxiliary Nursing & Midwifery (ANM) and General Nursing & Midwifery (GNM) courses, with an annual intake of 20 students. ANMs play a critical role in strengthening rural healthcare, particularly in underserved areas, and the school aims to equip students with the skills needed to address community health needs. The school has achieved 100% RANM and 88% GNM results.

Vision: To achieve global excellence in education, healthcare, and research, rooted in democratic values, charity, and philanthropy.

Mission:

• Develop socially responsible, skilled, and ethically strong professionals.
• Provide quality infrastructure, learning resources, and innovative education.
• Promote research, community-oriented health programs, and lifelong learning.
• Ensure accessible healthcare for rural and urban populations.
• Equip learners with employable skills for societal contribution.

Objectives:

• Identify community health needs and mobilize social support.
• Provide targeted health education, counseling, and outreach.
• Participate in national health and family welfare programs.
• Manage health centers efficiently, maintaining quality services and records.

3.2. Tulsi Industrial Training Institute (ITI)– Vocational Skill Training Center

Addressing the critical challenge of youth unemployment and the lack of employable skills, SGGVSS established the Tulsi Industrial Training Institute (ITI) in 1993 to provide vocational education and skill development for rural youth. The ITI offers training in Fitter, Electrician, Solar power, Agril tools and Equipment’s trades for more than 50 students annually, while over 150 youth are trained each year in various vocational skills to enable self-employment and wage employment opportunities.

Initially operating from a rented facility (1993–2012), the ITI now runs from a dedicated campus with modern infrastructure, ensuring practical training and skill-building in alignment with industry standards.

The institute also promotes holistic development and social responsibility through various events, celebrations, activities, and community engagement programs, preparing youth for both employment and societal contribution.

3.2. Jnanyogi Dr. Shrikant Jishkar Model School (Est. 2014)

Provides holistic, student-centered education focused on academic excellence, character building, and social responsibility. The school fosters creativity, critical thinking, and leadership skills, empowering students to become independent, socially conscious, and globally competent individuals.

Interventions:

  2. Co-curricular & Cultural Activities:
    o Celebrations of national and cultural events

  3. Student Skill & Personality Development (STEM):
    o Leadership and life skills workshops
    o Research and inquiry-based learning projects
    o Community engagement and social responsibility programs
  4. Health & Wellness:
    o Awareness sessions on hygiene, nutrition, and mental health
    o Sports and physical fitness activities
  5. Community & Social entrepreneurship:
    o Awareness campaigns in local villages
    o Participation in social entrepreneurship initiatives and community development programs

3.3. Jankalyan Shikshan Sanstha – Tribal Development
It works to empower tribal communities in Gadchiroli through:
• Education: Literacy programs and scholarships for children and youth
• Skill & Livelihoods: Vocational training and self-employment support
• Health & Nutrition: Awareness campaigns, sanitation, and nutrition programs
• Community Mobilization: Strengthening local institutions and preserving tribal culture.
3.4. Uttar Pradesh Skill Development Mission (UPSDM)

SGVSS working for Uttar Pradesh Skill Development Mission aims to provide vocational skill training and placement-linked programs to youth aged 14–35 years, targeting 4,000 beneficiaries during 2014–16. The mission focuses on enhancing employability, promoting wage and self-employment, and enabling youth to contribute to India’s economic development.

Working Districts: Faizabad, Mahoba, Badaun, Balrampur, Maharajganj, Kaushambi, Kannauj

Achievements:
• 1,896 candidates assessed across target districts
• 802 youth successfully placed in employment during 2014–16
