RADHABAI BAHEKAR NURSING SCHOOL,RANM & RGNM GONDIA

SGGVSS opened Radhabai Bahekar Nursing School (RANM & RGNM) in Gondia in the session 2008-2009. The Govt. of Maharashtra granted permission to start on Auxiliary Nursing and Midwifery & GNM School on annual intake capacity of 20 students.
The Auxiliary Nurse Midwifery are the pillars of our health system especially in our rural community where the massive reside and no other health personals are willing to work in the rural areas.
Auxiliary Nurse Midwifery play major role in improvement of the rural health care delivery system. The purpose of RANM & RGNM course is to function at community/village level with specific skill to fulfill the health needs of the community. we are having the result of 100% RANM & 88% RGNM.

To enhance reading and learning capabilities among faculty and students and inculcate sense of life-long learning.

To impart spirit of inquiry and scientific temperament among students through research-oriented activities.
To ordinate period performance evaluation of the faculty.
To develop holistic personality through innovative education which equips them with the required skills.

The objectives of RANM & RGNM are

Identity health problem/needs and resource in the community and mobilize social support for active participation of the community health care active.
Provide need based information & counseling related to health of individual, family & group.
Participate in all the national health & family welfare programme at community level.

Manage the health centre including equipment & supplies & maintain the records in order to provide quality people family services.

Activities

On 1 October, 2011 students participated in the Blood donation rally organized by K.T.S. Hospital, Gondia.
On 1 December, 2011 Students participated in A.I.D.S. rally organized by K.T.S. hospital
In the month of Jan. & Feb. 2012 students participated in the pulse polio programme and distributed polio in the Gondia district.
